Feddema Design is a multidisciplinary design practice focused on building thoughtful designs for people and the planet. With experience in hospitality, wellness, residential, retail, workplace, and more, it approaches every project through a lens of sustainability, function, and purpose.
The studio is based in Brooklyn, NY and led by designer and architect Marissa Feddema.
Originally from Minnesota, Marissa designs with a special connection to nature and climate. She founded Feddema Design in 2024 as a platform to work with a unique set of residential and commercial clients on a wide range of projects including hospitality, wellness, private retreats, bars, restaurants, and more. She has a background in sustainable design and is skilled at balancing a thoughtful and impactful aesthetic with logistical factors such as budget and scheduling. She also brings 15 years of experience leading project teams through space acquisition, permitting, planning, design, and construction.
Marissa has been featured in Dwell, Madame Architect, Hospitality Design, Interior Design Magazine, and more. Holding degrees in Architecture and Sustainability from the University of Minnesota, she is a LEED BD+C Accredited Professional and Registered Architect in NY.
